SafeSpace Living consider each and every referral on its own merit and with stringent matching criteria. We take into account equal opportunities in all instances to ensure that we can effectively meet each family’s needs holistically.
SafeSpace Living are keen to work with and engage with families who misuse substances and/or alcohol. We would expect that the families are either engaged with support and appropriate agencies or are willing to access support from such appropriate agencies including mental health services, substance misuse/alcohol services.
SafeSpace Living utilise a stringent and robust matching process. This is to ensure that we can meet the needs of families and ensure that all families within our centre are always safeguarded and cared for appropriately and without compromise. To successfully complete a matching process, we work in partnership with the placing Local Authority to share information. We work collaboratively to ensure that the services are we offer are able to meet the needs of the family and offer good value to the placing Local Authority.
SafeSpace Living reserves the right to refuse a placement. Refusal of a placement may be made due to concerns around arson, sexual offences, violence or any other concerns that may pose a significant risk of harm. A written response will always be provided from SafeSpace Living should a placement be refused.
